Re: seems like a good book

I liked another of Salzman's books (I forget the title, but it was about a musician/cellist), so I thought I would like this one. I really didn't. There was much that he didn't capture about religious life and the PASSION that inflames the saint, the mystic.
In religious terms, it was like One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, but set in a convent.
And who is to say what IS real? Perhaps her visions were real and simply did not continue after the surgery. Perhaps they were unrelated. Perhaps not.
